Our mission.

Great books are full of precious ideas, but few people have the time to read everything. Cobalt exists to bridge that gap: we distill the most remarkable non-fiction works into clear, structured summaries, so everyone can grasp the essence of a book and apply it to their life, without spending hours on it.

Our goal is not to replace reading, but to make it more accessible: spotting the books that deserve a full read, quickly absorbing their key concepts, and refreshing the ideas of works already read.

How we create our summaries.

Each summary is produced with the help of Cobalt, our artificial intelligence system dedicated to analyzing and synthesizing books. The AI goes through the book, identifies the key concepts and practical lessons, then organizes them according to a reading method designed for comprehension and retention.

This work is then reviewed and refined by our editors before publication. We combine the speed of AI with the human eye, to offer faithful, easy-to-read syntheses.

Who we are.

Cobalt is a mobile application published by Optu Corp, available on iOS and Android. Our catalog covers personal development, productivity, psychology, business, philosophy and science, and regularly grows with new titles.

The app is available in six languages (French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, German and Italian) to make this knowledge accessible to as many people as possible.
